Maximum Exposure as a Fitness Model
- Ok here's the number one thing you need to do to be a fitness model: Have an amazing body, always be in shape and look great from head to toe, if your fat and not in good shape well I suggest hiring a good trainer, get your diet in control and start living the lifestyle. This is a modeling contest and your judged on your looks so this is number one even know it's sounds super silly to even have to mention this.
- Do fitness, figure, bikini, bodybuilding, model shows and competitions you want to continue getting your name out there and always be at every show, competition to get to know photographers, agents, reps, and anyone that can help you out in the industry, I don't care if you like it or not your in the business of networking yourself and yes make sure you look your best. which gets me to
- Always and I mean always be in shape I have heard this many times how people or big fitness companies need a fitness model and they go to the winner of a fitness competition and pick the 1st place finisher a few weeks after the show and guess what there no longer in shape so they lose the contract to sometimes the 5th or 8th girl the one who is still in the best shape after the show. Learn to be healthy and fit year round and not blow up and get fat after you just busted your butt to win and look amazing for the show. If you know how to eat right, diet, and exercise it's easy to do this year round: yes it does take dedication and persistent though isn't this your life and dream to be like this all the time. I suggest the book: www.fitnesscomepetionguilde.com to learn all these secrets now.

Fitness Photographer's Arrested in Child Sex Case
July 10, 2008, 6:04 PM PDT
NEWPORT BEACH -- A woman accused of helping her former fiance -- well-known "physique" photographer Jason Ellis -- carry on an illicit sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl, surrendered today to Newport Beach police.
Michelle Hecker, 31, is charged as an aider and abetter on three counts of lewd acts and one count each of statutory rape, oral copulation of a minor and digital penetration of a minor, said Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
She appeared this afternoon in a Newport Beach courtroom, where court Commissioner Gregory Jones set her bail at $50,000.
Her arraignment was postponed to July 18, the same day that Ellis, 33, will return to court to enter a plea to the charges, a court clerk said.
Hecker's attorney, Ron MacGregor, could not be reached for comment.
Authorities described Ellis and Hecker as engaged, but KCAL9 reported the engagement was broken off more than two months ago, although they continued to live together.
The girl told authorities she was in love with Ellis, prosecutors said.
Hecker allegedly gained the trust of the parents of the girl, who was 14 years old when the two met.
After he met the victim, Ellis began grooming her for a sexual relationship, Emami said.
Between August 2007 and June, Ellis took the girl on dates to movies and dinner, kissing and touching her in public, Emami said.
Hecker allegedly told the girl's parents that she and the girl were going horseback riding, allowing the girl to meet and spend time alone with Ellis, prosecutors said.
To hide what the two were doing, Hecker allegedly had the girl wear riding clothes when she picked her up or dropped her off, Emami said. The parents eventually became suspicious and had a private investigator follow them, Emami said.
When Ellis learned he was wanted in the case, he fled but was arrested 10 days later.
Ellis, whose photos have appeared on the covers of magazines such as Elle and Muscle & Fitness, was in jail on $100,000 bail.

Top 13 Exercise done wrong
- Stiff Leg deadlifts: I can't tell you how many times I have seen this exercise done wrong in the gym, everyone's bending over rounding there back killing themselves trying to do this exercise correctly. If people only knew the harm they were doing to themselves by performing this exercise incorrectly.
- Rotator Cuff Exercise: I'm amazed all the time to see how many people do this exercise wrong, do people not know how gravity works because most of the time they are moving weight the resistance isn't opposing gravity making this a very in-effective exercise.
- Squats: an exercise so important and done so wrong with so often in the gym, hell I see trainers teach there clients bad technique on this one. to far forward, on there toes, and bending all funky.
- Regular Deadlifts: Geeze I'm surprised more people don't have back pain because I see this exercise done wrong all the time with a rounded back. This isn't good.
- Lat pull down: never pull the bar behind the neck are you stupid people have become paraplegic for this one, it tears your rotator cuff doing it that way, this goes for behind the neck presses, behind the neck pull ups and so much more.
- Crunches: this one is hilarious to watch people do wrong because its like watching someone have sex with themselves, laying there humping the ground allowing to much momentum to move them and not really doing much for there abdominal muscles.
- Lunges: how come no one knows how to do a lunge correctly no wonder why there are a bunch of people with butts that are sagging.
- bicep curls: come on men it's not how much weight you can do it's how much you can stress the bicep muscle not the hips, back, and legs by swinging all that weight around.
- Lateral raises: I'm amazed to see how high people raise the bar above there head, ever hear of shoulder impingement. ouch this is how you can lead yourself to shoulder surgery.
- Olympic lifts: I don't even have to get into this one that much because people have no clue how to keep there body in proper form doing a should press there's no reason they should by trying to perform a complex exercise like this if they never have been trained in it.
- Shoulder press: hello arching your back is not how to lift weight over your head in less you want a bad back.
- Bent over rows: how many people don't know how to keep there back straight while performing this exercise, if your lower back isn't strong enough to maintain proper form why you even doing this exercise put your hand and/or leg on a bench and do it right.
- Push ups: so many people can't even stabilize there body and shoulder blades correctly to lower and press themselves back up from a push up position, come on get with it this should be one of the first exercises a person masters.

Scientists: Watermelon Yields Viagra-like Effects
By BETSY BLANEY
The Associated Press
Thursday, July 3, 2008; 5:48 PM
LUBBOCK, Texas -- A slice of cool, fresh watermelon is a juicy way to top off a Fourth of July cookout and one that researchers say has effects similar to Viagra _ but don't necessarily expect it to keep the fireworks going all night long.
Watermelons contain an ingredient called citrulline that can trigger production of a compound that helps relax the body's blood vessels, similar to what happens when a man takes Viagra, said scientists in
Found in the flesh and rind of watermelons, citrulline reacts with the body's enzymes when consumed in large quantities and is changed into arginine, an amino acid that benefits the heart and the circulatory and immune systems.
"Arginine boosts nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels, the same basic effect that Viagra has, to treat erectile dysfunction and maybe even prevent it," said Bhimu Patil, a researcher and director of Texas A&M's Fruit and
Todd Wehner, who studies watermelon breeding at
"It sounds like it would be an effect that would be interesting but not a substitute for any medical treatment," Wehner said.
The nitric oxide can also help with angina, high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems, according to the study, which was paid for by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
More citrulline _ about 60 percent _ is found in watermelon rind than in the flesh, Patil said, but that can vary. But scientists may be able to find ways to boost the concentrations in the flesh, he said.
Citrulline is found in all colors of watermelon and is highest in the yellow-fleshed types, said Penelope Perkins-Veazie, a USDA researcher in
She said Patil's research is valid, but with a caveat: One would need to eat about six cups of watermelon to get enough citrulline to boost the body's arginine level.
"The problem you have when you eat a lot of watermelon is you tend to run to the bathroom more," Perkins-Veazie said.
Watermelon is a diuretic and was a homeopathic treatment for kidney patients before dialysis became widespread.
Another issue is the amount of sugar that much watermelon would spill into the bloodstream _ a jolt that could cause cramping, Perkins-Veazie said.
Patil said he would like to do future studies on how to reduce the sugar content in watermelon.
The relationship between citrulline and arginine might also prove helpful to those who are obese or suffer from type-2 diabetes. The beneficial effects _ among them the ability to relax blood vessels, much like Viagra does _ are beginning to be revealed in research.
Citrulline is present in other curcubits, like cucumbers and cantaloupe, at very low levels, and in the milk protein casein. The highest concentrations of citrulline are found in walnut seedlings, Perkins-Veazie said.
"But they're bitter and most people don't want to eat them," she said.

GOD'S PHARMACY
It's been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish... all before making a human. He made and provided what we'd need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We're such slow learners...
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
God's Pharmacy! Amazing!
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like t he body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

why you should train in a private personal training studio
(LifeWire) -- Every gym has its share of grunters, groaners, heavy sweaters and hygiene queens. And then there are the aerobics assailants.
Really loud grunting and groaning can be disturbing to other people at the gym.
"I take a cardio class at my gym and the other day a first-timer came in and stood about six inches in front of me," says Olivia Giovetti, 22, a Los Angeles administrative assistant. "I asked her to move forward, but she just ignored me. And when the workout started, she was all over me."
Frustrated, Giovetti left. The following week, she secured a spot on the opposite side of the room, hoping to avoid the onslaught of arms and legs. It didn't help.
"She made a beeline right for me," says Giovetti. "She was grapevining into me, elbowing me. At one point she just flat-out pushed me. I'm like, 'What's going on? I'm just trying to work out here!'"
Sticking to a workout schedule is never easy, but it's harder still when you're bombarded with bad gym behavior. A quick look at user comments about health clubs on Yelp.com, a consumer-review Web site, reveals spats over sweaty equipment, personal space and wayward disinfectant.
Then there's the New York lawsuit involving a screaming spin class participant who was forcibly upended on his stationary bike by a classmate fed up with his loud grunts and shouts of "You go, girl!" In June, jurors acquitted the defendant, stockbroker Christopher Carter, of assault charges in that incident.
Squabbling over space
Most bad behavior involves minor stuff like sweaty equipment or lecherous stares, says Jared Williams, 25, a Seattle health club receptionist. But he's also seen full-blown wars, including a shouting match between two members over a weight machine.
"They were chest to chest yelling at each other," says Williams. "And by the time I finally got over there to break it up, they were wrestling. We eventually had to escort [one] guy out of the gym and cancel his membership."
Michael Feigin, host of the New York radio show "Fitness Guru" and founder of Half Moon Pilates, says territorial fights are the most common problem he's witnessed in his 20 years in the business.
"People get very caught up in territorial disputes," he says. "If somebody takes 'their' bike or 'their' space, they'll go off the charts in terms of their anger. In the first studio I opened, I had a bylaw in the brochure that said no one space belonged to any one individual. I put it on paper because that's always such a huge dispute."
Keep it down!
Personal space is just the tip of the iceberg. Other irritants include oppressive body odor, excessive locker-room nudity, cardio caterwauling and those who serenade fellow exercisers with off-key howls.
"You'll get people singing at the top of their lungs while they're running on the treadmill," says Feigin. "They don't do it consciously; they're just caught up in the energy. But it's a problem when it crosses the line and impinges on other people."
Cindy Lauren, a 53-year-old medical nonprofit director from Santa Monica, California, has a noise nightmare at her gym. The former competitive bodybuilder says one member sounds like she's having sex every time she lifts weights.
"You can hear her everywhere," she says. "She'll have these little 5-pound weights and she'll be going 'Aaah, aaaaah, aaaaaaah!' like she's having an orgasm. The other members' eye-rolling and face-making almost make it worth it, but it's really irritating."
Managing the jerks
What's the best way to avoid an all-out gym war?
Williams says to let management handle disagreements, especially those with the potential to turn ugly.
"You have people who are full of testosterone or are taking supplements and already hyped up when they come in to work out," he says. "When that mixes with an aggressive personality, you've got somebody who can easily get into an altercation. So if there's a problem, it's best to bring it to the attention of the people who work there. It's part of their job to deal with this stuff; don't try to tackle it yourself."
But not all gyms will step in, says Giovetti, whose complaint about the aerobics assailant was met with indifference.
"I talked to gym management and they told me there was nothing they could do," she says.
Code of conduct
Many clubs take great pains to keep the peace, offering towels, spray disinfectant, and signage reminding members to clean up after themselves and limit their use of cardio machines during busy times.
Club One Fitness Center in San Francisco even posts notices about behavior in the locker room.
"We try to promote a code of etiquette," says 28-year-old manager Karim Rahman. "We have signs asking people to limit their cell phone use and not use their camera phones in the locker room -- just basic things to respect people's privacy."
But gyms are only partly responsible for a member's happiness, says Pauline Wallin, a clinical psychologist from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and author of "Taming Your Inner Brat: A Guide for Transforming Self-Defeating Behavior."
"There will always be people who are jerks -- people who take their workout way too seriously and feel entitled to do whatever they want, whenever they want because they've paid their $29 a month," she says. "It's up to you whether you let it bother you or not. You can choose to join the jerk group, or to remain independent and happy."
Want to avoid being a gym jerk or keep your sanity when others act up? Some simple rules:
• If your gym has a code of conduct, read and abide by it. If you've been breaking rules -- screaming, cussing, forgetting to clean up, cutting in -- apologize and move on. People are usually forgiving if you own up to bad behavior. If you see people breaking the rules but are leery of confronting them, tell management so they can do the heavy lifting.
• Always disinfect your equipment, and aim the spray carefully to avoid hitting your neighbor. If someone else fails to do this, don't assume they're inconsiderate; they may have forgotten.
• Remember that you're sharing space with hundreds of others. You may have a favorite bench or treadmill, but it's not yours. Let someone share the machine with you by taking turns during your circuit of exercises and be conscious of time limits some gyms set on the use of equipment during peak hours.
